DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of Iowa 12 at the west junction of Interstate 29 in Woodbury County in 1988, a small portion of the former route became Iowa 943.

An agreement IR-29-8(18) between the Department of Transportation and the City of Sioux City transferred this section to the city on July 1, 1990.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to delete the section of Iowa 943 described from the Primary Road System.

.48 miles of old Iowa 12 ramp near the west junction of Interstate 29 in Section 25-T89N-R48W (approximately 2570 feet south of the NW Corner of said Section 25).
